Summary

The outward golem-like appearance of the Hishkal is merely a form of an aggregated protective mantle.

The actual life form consists of a network of pentaxid-based nanostructures using the 'golem' as an interaction vehicle. The reason for the nearly humanoid form of this body armor is unknown. Communication with the Hishkal is almost impossible due to their inherently aggressive nature.

The species is named after its discoverer, Asai Hishkal
