Summary

The Brotherhood of Farr from the Parther people is a quasi-religious community aiming to bring peace to the galaxy by creating prosperity for all.

The founding myth, subject to much scientific study, tells of a being named ‘Farr’ who landed on the war-torn world of Parthix to bring peace and prosperity. After the planet's pacification under the Republic of Parthix, the Temple of Farr was built in his honor and maintained by the Brotherhood of Farr. The temple houses numerous technical artifacts far beyond the Parthers' capabilities at the time.

At some point, the Republic transformed into a clerical union under the Brotherhood of Farr’s leadership, possibly coinciding with Farr’s disappearance and the resulting brief technological depression. The clerical endeavors seemingly supported the population's desire for the return of the savior Farr, eventually securing the Brotherhood's power. Shortly before another civil war, ships from the Arkenian fleet, specifically the Polaris Megacorps, arrived on Parthix, ending the crisis, which the Brotherhood proclaimed as proof of their summoning powers, thus solidifying their absolute authority and highest esteem.

Current Situation

By the game's timeline, the Brotherhood uses its capital to provide food, shelter, and medical care for the needy across the galaxy. Any species member can join the Brotherhood and become a 'Brother.'

The oldest member, literally in terms of age, leads the Brotherhood as a spiritual guide, interpreting Farr’s teachings. Additional information about the internal structure or processes is scarce, as disclosing such information to outsiders is punishable.

Internal Affairs

Reports from galactic aid organizations indicate that Brotherhood facilities are increasingly found outside the faction’s recognized influence areas. The clerical council denies their existence. Investigations by the DESC and Arkenian agents reveal sites of a cult, albeit without direct ties to the Brotherhood or their creed.

Instead, these are considered archaeologically valuable but rarely visited worship sites of an unknown culture that vanished over a thousand years ago. The Polaris Megacorp has made its deep-space explorers available for further investigations.
