In the year 2474, a fleet of Terran ships set out to retrieve much-needed raw materials from the nearby Proxima Centauri system and bring them back to allow humanity continue to thrive after it had risen from a dark age short over a century earlier. When the hyperspace drives recovered from an alien spaceship started up, events came thick and fast. Operation Phoenix did not start in any way as planned. Especially for Joe Henricks (player character). As chaos spread from the edge of the solar system in the form of a wave front, the fleet disappeared in a space-time rift before Henricks' eyes. With a final thrust of his small spaceship, he entered the closing rift to follow the fleet...
